Directions
Place fleece or flannel, RS up in your hoop, with tear-away stabilizer underneath.
Stitch eyes and nose, green, white, blue and brown (I combined the blue and brown to just all brown)
After the face is stitched, place the other piece of fleece or flannel, RS down, on top of what you just embroidered.
(The RS will be facing one another)
Stitch the last color which will stitch twice around. You may want to change your bobbin and thread to a regular sewing thread for this step
Remove from hoop

Walker Tote Bag Sewing Instructions
Place both fabrics, right sides together. Sew around all four edges, leaving about a 6 inch opening for turning. Use a 3/8 inch seam allowance.
If you prefer, you may iron the seams open to help get a crisp edge when turned right side out.
Turn right side out, press thoroughly so the edges are flat and the corners are square. Press the opening under the width of the seam allowance, it will be closed in the final topstitching step.
Cut the 6 inch piece of Velcro into two 3 inch pieces (total of four 3 inch pieces, when separated.) Sew the Velcro, lengthwise on the wrong side of bag, 5 inches from the center and 1 ½ inches from the edge of the bag. Place the two loop pieces on one half of the bag and the hook pieces on the other half.

Fold up the ends of the fabric, right sides up, to make pockets on both sides. The pocket depth needs to be at least long enough to cover the Velcro stitching lines, so the pockets need to be at least 5 inches from center.
Topstitch all around the bag to lock in the pockets and to close the opening.
Sew up the center of each pocket to form two smaller pockets. Reinforce the top of each pocket.
Cut stray threads and you are done.

Supply List - 2 - 9" x 12" pieces of outside fabric
2 - 9" x 12" pieces of inside fabric
2 - 24" pieces of cording (or make your own) (or long shoelaces can be used)
STEP ONE: Focus Fabric – Cut two 9″ x 12″ With RS together sew a ½” seam on both long sides making a tube. Press seams open.
STEP TWO: Lining Fabric – Cut two 9″ x 12″ With RS together sew a ½” seam on both long sides making a tube. Press seams open. Turn lining right side out and place inside of focus fabric tube (RS together).
STEP THREE: Line up seams and sew a 1/4″ seam around the top of the tube.
STEP FOUR: Turn right side out. Press seam towards lining.
STEP FIVE: Tuck the lining back inside and press the top seam flat.
STEP SIX: Place tube on the open arm of the sewing machine and sew a seam at 1-1/2″ from top. When you get to the two seams back tack about 1/4″ across the seam.
STEP SEVEN: Sew another seam 2-1/4″ from the top back tacking again at the seams. (This makes the seams stronger when the cording is pulled through.)
STEP EIGHT: Using a seam ripper, pop the seam between the two back tacks on focus fabric. The cording will be pulled through these openings. Do not unpick seams in lining.
STEP NINE: Turn project wrong side out and sew all layers together at bottom with a 1/4″ seam. Finish by overcasting or serging.
STEP TEN: Turn right side out and press bottom seam.
STEP ELEVEN: Cut two 24” pieces of cording. Using a large safety pin fold back about ½” of cording and pin through the folded edge. Starting at one seam, thread all the way around the bag. Tie ends of cording together in a knot. Do the same with the other seam.
